bound to continue to meet the expectations that everyone has from DPS Nigahi.
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the session 2008-2009.
On reviewing the last sessions: ‘From principal’s Desk’ Pages it is seen that all
major plans like:-
- Running of remedial & motivational classes on Wednesdays & Fridays from 1: 45 pm
to 3:00 pm.
- Providing Lap Top computers to teachers.
- Conducting of talk shows.
- Keeping the computer Labs open in the second half from 4:00 pm to 6: pm.
- Procuring a telescope for the school.
With a class average of 78.42% and 76.04% in the Board exam of 2007 of class X and
XII respectively the students have set in the highest record not only for the school
but also in the whole area.
Real purpose at DPS Nigahi is not to teach what to think,
but how to think,
not to provide to students facts and figures,
but to sharpen the mind as a tool of thought, so that it can differentiate between
bad and good.
We desire to instill a sense of brotherhood among the students for attaining permanent
peace in the world in the days to come.
We need to develop threefold personality- Physical, intellectual & moral aspect.
We aim at enhancing IQ(Intelligence Quotient), EQ(Emotional Quotient) and SQ(Spiritual
Quotient) of each child entrusted to us.
We shall be taking all initiatives:
- to pay more attention and focus to practical work.
- to create an atmosphere of learning with understanding & pleasure than learning
by heart under stress.
- to enable the child to develop his/her life skills for both succeeding in life and
also have confidence to know what is right & wrong for him/her and not to allow
anyone to dupe him/her.
With the introduction of HOUST (Higher Order Understanding skill Test) in Board
exam in class X & XII CBSE has drawn everyone’s focus towards talent which shall
prove to recognize the brilliant ones.
We can emphatically say that it took a Mahatma to make the world look up to India.
We pledge to do the same with every child, every student & every parent who dreams
big.
Please make a habit of going through this Almanac on regular basis and try to remain
in touch with the school as much as possible.
Ensure that in case of a planned leave it a duly sanctioned and in case of any emergency
the absence in brought to the notice of the school in time.
