FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK 2000-2001
With the great support of our sponsors-Northern
Coalfields Ltd., through their visionary leaders, and your moral support, we are
bound to continue to meet the expectations that everyone has from DPS Nigahi.
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the session 2000-2001.
May this session prove to be fruitful to you as well as your child. We look forward
to your child’s sincere efforts and regularity and your support. Combined
with the hard work and creativity of our teaching staff I’m sure a wonderful
atmosphere will be created for your child’s overall development.
Many things have been done in the last two sessions and a lot yet needs to be accomplished.
We are at a stage where every step is important for us to establish ourselves and
raise the standard of the School and reach the lofty heights set in by the DPS Society.
We have shown our concern for the betterment by constantly supervising the attendance
and the academic performance of our students in meaningful and systematic ways.
Teachers have put in their extra efforts to guide the students in the remedial classes.
We even went out of the way and conducted Pre-Annual Examination for those students
who needed to be shaken up.
In the last two sessions as far as our achievement are concerned I Would say we
have been very successful in conducting Morning Assembly , Activities, Inter House
Competitions, Intra Class Competitions, Sports Day, Youth Exchange Programme, Participation
in the Golden Jubilee Celebration of DPS Society and DPS, Mathura Road, New Delhi
in the best possible ways.
Our students have managed to win various Inter School Competitions both at the local
as well as the National level.
AS the saying goes, ‘As you sow so you reap’ we are trying to sow in
the best concepts among the students and hence have firm faith that the outcome
will also be in no way less than the best.
This Almanac should to be a good link between you and the teachers. Please keep
going through it regularly for you are expected to read and sign the remarks written
by teachers on the same day.
