FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK 2006-2007
With the great support of our sponsors-Northern
Coalfields Ltd., through their visionary leaders, and your moral support, we are
bound to continue to meet the expectations that everyone has from DPS Nigahi.
Dear Parents,
I take this opportunity of thanking each one of you for your support and thank the
mighty Lord for having made it possible.
Welcome to the ninth session of the school, i.e., 2006-07
Progress at a glance of the school given in this Almanac indicates growth only in
the statistical terms. In order to achieve today’s status we also need to think
of the innumerable suggestions, talks, paper work, plans, ideas, opportunities,
meeting, interactions, workshops both for the teachers and the students, functions,
competitions, etc. carried out during all these years.
By the end of May 2006, we shall be having the results of the 5th Batch of Class
X and the 2nd Batch of Class XII(Science and Commerce Streams). We are confident
that the students of Class X would be maintain the class average of above 76%. From
the present session onwards the Board results of both Class X and XII will surely
show an upward trend. Students who were admitted in Class Prep in the session 1998-99
have reached Class VII and shall prove their mattle as pure Dipsites in the coming
years.
In the present age of tremendous knowledge explosion and throat cutting competition
we as parents and teachers need to be aware of the moral responsibilities of leading
our students towards the right direction. Besides worrying about good marks and
developing their IQs we got to do a lot to develop their personalities and EQs and
ensure that they fulfill the dreams of our country’s president of taking India to
new and greater heights. Besides exposing our students to good knowledge of the
subjects we do not hesitate in putting across to them great treasures from the bookds
like Gita, Bible, Quran and Guru Granth Saheb.
In the present session too DPS Society has planned out various academic camps innumerable
“All India Inter DPS functions and competition” both for the teachers and the students.
These academic camps, functions and competitions would enable your wards to get.
The best exposure of knowledge and would provide them with opportunities to interact
with the students from different parts of the world and meet eminent personalities
of the country which will go a long way in moulding their character. We strongly
look forward to your support.
Make a habit of going through this Almanac on regular basis and try to remain in
touch with the school as much as possible. Ensure that in case of a planned leave
it is duly sanctioned and in case of any emergency the absence is brought to the
notice of the school in time.
